Death toll rose, but overall cases begin to hold.
Last week brought the most deaths to the state of New York, with 3,000 out of a total 7,844 deaths occurring since Monday. Daily deaths averaged at around 700 per day.
The number of daily cases declined, though. Since mid-March, around 1,000 people per day were being hospitalized with coronavirus symptoms. In the last week, only 290 people per day were admitted since April 6th.
Governor Andrew Cuomo hopes that these numbers point to an overall flatlining of cases in the near future. If that will be the case, the state will not have to build the overflow hospitals they were hurrying to plan.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the coronavirus outbreak in New York, which continues to be most intense in the country.
- That Governor Cuomo would continue his cooperation with the president’s administration to help curb the intense infection rate.
- For the Lord’s healing hand to cover the nation.
